Preface: New materials are strategic and basic industries supporting national economic construction, social progress and national defence security, and are the key areas of high-tech competition. At present, the provincial ‘1650’ and city ‘1030’ industrial system will be new materials as a key cluster to strengthen the cultivation of advanced materials industry in Suzhou City was selected as the first batch of provincial strategic emerging industries integration cluster demonstration list.
In order to accelerate the development of new material clusters in Suzhou, and accurately support the technological innovation and application demonstration of new materials, the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has organised the preparation of the ‘Guide Catalogue for the First Batch of Application Demonstration of Key New Materials in Suzhou (2024 Edition)’, which was formulated through the procedures of self-declaration by enterprises, recommendation from various places, auditing and screening, and collection of public opinions, and has been released.
